The Kent Faith MC UV lens is primarily designed to offer protection for the camera lens and comes with several advantages. It filters UV rays and eliminates haze, creating clearer images with greater contrast, without affecting the balance of visible light (due to the absorption of ultraviolet rays). The lens features a blue multi-coated anti-reflective (MC) treatment that prevents glare. Additionally, by covering the lens, it provides extra protection against dust and scratches that can degrade image quality and damage the camera lens. The lens fits all 72mm lenses ("ø 72"), and with step-down rings, you can attach it to any lens. The advantage of a large filter is that you can keep it and adapt it to each lens, compared to buying a new filter for each lens.
