Cosmopor® Transparent Transparent Dressing-Membrane with Absorbent Wound Secretion Layer. Cosmopor® Transparent is a self-adhesive dressing with a transparent membrane and a central absorbent wound pad. It consists of a semi-permeable, waterproof, transparent polyurethane film coated with polyacrylate adhesive. The wound pad is made from viscose fiber and covered with a polyethylene mesh, serving as a non-stick contact layer with the wound.

• In the postoperative care of wounds with slight secretions

Application

Thoroughly clean the area of application and ensure the skin is dry and free from creams and ointments. Open the package and remove the dressing. The Cosmopor® Transparent is protected by four membranes, which are numbered from 1 to 4 in the order of application. Loosen protective membranes 1 and 2 slightly. Then place the adhesive side with the wound pad over the wound. Ensure the wound pad fully covers the wound. Completely remove protective membranes 1 and 2 and press the film lightly. This way, adjust the film to the body contours. Remove protective membrane 3. Then remove protective membrane 4 and press the bandage lightly onto the skin. Cosmopor® Transparent can be removed almost painlessly by stretching the material. To do this, loosen a corner and carefully pull away the dressing.
