Smart Surveillance with Artificial Intelligence

With the DomeCam Mini, security becomes smarter than ever. The built-in artificial intelligence processes the image in real time to identify objects. You will receive notifications only when there is a real cause, as the camera can distinguish a person from a pet. This selective recording not only protects your privacy but also optimizes the capacity of the hard drive or memory card.

JetSparrow Speed and User Experience

You will be impressed by how quickly you can browse through the video archive. JetSparrow technology allows instant transition from a notification to the exact point of the recording, without annoying buffering. The customizable video wall lets you monitor all cameras simultaneously, while the dual stream ensures immediate preview even on low-speed internet connections.

NDAA Security and Privacy

The Ajax DomeCam Mini is designed with the highest security standards. Using components only from NDAA whitelist suppliers, it ensures that there are no "backdoors" in your system. TLS encryption and two-factor authentication (2FA) guarantee that only you have access to your data. Additionally, privacy control through your app allows you to manage access sessions in real time.

Review this product
  • Unfortunately, while the Ajax brand does a very good job with alarm systems, I wouldn't say the same for their cameras, at least judging by this one.
The build quality is good. The connectivity is satisfactory.
However, the software is slow. The camera's clarity does not justify the 8 megapixels and the 2.8 mm lens.
With zoom, you can't distinguish a license plate in daylight at 25 meters, which is unjustifiable for the camera's specifications.
Even though the connection is via ethernet, the speed at which the camera opens with its software is not the fastest. It takes a few seconds to show the target that was just recorded on the SD card.
The internet speeds tested were very good and the SD card is one of the fast ones, so I can't say these factors affected the above.
Because I have used Imou and Tapo for years, I would say that Imou cameras are by far better in operation, clarity, and speed. And they cost much less.
This particular camera is extremely expensive and does not offer what the average user expects. The price is probably high because of the customizations the camera allows with Ajax's software, since the camera can activate the alarm and generally accepts many settings.
However, these features are not relevant for a user who just wants a good camera with simple functions.
I do not recommend it. I bought it because the price dropped one afternoon to 180 euros, but I was not satisfied at all.
