Description

When a duo of corrupt ancient gods is unleashed after centuries in the dark, the vibrant land of Thedas needs someone to rely on.

Take on the role of Rook, the new hero of Dragon Age. Become what you want and play how you want, as you fight and lead your team of seven companions, each with their own rich story.

Together you will become the Veilguard.

Save a Tormented World

Enter the world of Thedas, a vibrant realm of rugged wilderness, perilous labyrinths, and gleaming cities. The world teeters on the edge of chaos as corrupt gods unleash havoc across the continent. Nations clash and factions vie for power. Who will you trust? From the Arlathan Forest to the alleys of Minrathous, this world is in ruins. Your decisions will shape the fate of Thedas forever.

A dramatic single-player campaign

When the corrupt Elven Gods threaten Thedas, lead the charge to save it. Rook is not afraid of battle, no matter the odds. Whatever the cost.

Unite the Forces of the Veilguard

Gather a team of seven companions, each living a rich life and having their own personal story. These are characters you can befriend - or even fall in love with. Among them are an assassin, a necromancer, and a detective, each bringing their own unique knowledge and abilities to the battle. You are never alone - decide who to take with you into battle and face demons, dragons, and corrupt gods together.

Rich Companion Stories

Deepen your relationships with each companion and learn more about them in your adventures in Thedas. Your choices in these stories will affect their development, and upon completion, you can unlock powerful abilities. Create memories with your team that will deepen your experiences in Thedas and give you more reasons to fight.

Choose Your Own Way to Play

Choose between three classes - Warrior, Mage, and Rogue - each of which has two different weapon types and unique abilities that you can select during combat. Enjoy new strategic depth by combining quick attacks, parries, and dodges with the companion skill wheel to exploit enemy weaknesses and achieve victory with devastating combat combinations. Customize the combat style that suits you.

Become the leader others believe in

Choose between different races and combat classes, customize your appearance, choose your story, and embark on your journey as Rook, the new hero of Dragon Age. During your adventures, you will acquire new abilities and discover unique, powerful artifacts to enhance your combat style. You will need to make tough decisions, inspire allies, and fight a battle that will require every sword, staff, and bow you can muster on your side.

Yes, it is different from the previous ones
    nice graphics
    nice story
Overall a very decent RPG for 50-60 hours
especially at the prices it goes for now, under €15, it's a no-brainer

Don't let these little nonsense comments about a woke agenda influence you, the game is very good on all levels.
As a big fan of the Dragon Age games who has played them all, I would say that the only thing that bothered me in this particular game is a mission called "The Siege of Weisshaupt" in which you need to be at least level 28 to complete it properly, and while other quests have a warning about what level is appropriate to start them, this mission did not, resulting in me going in too early and getting wrecked. I then had to start over from much earlier because I hadn't made a save in time. My suggestion is to save often and don't be stingy about upgrading your companions' weapons and armor; in battles, having strong companions is crucial, especially since some missions require specific members of your team, so you'll have a hard time if you've left them with their starting weapons.

    Amazing!!! Personally, I loved it.
    Wonderful graphics, very decent story.
Now, for some who are used to a world of macho and fake toughness... they shouldn't even try it... let them play Call of Duty...

Normally it would be a four, but I give it a five for all the clueless people who have been bothering us about some woke dialogues (first time in a game, huh?)... Having played all the Dragon's, I spent an enjoyable hundred hours with nice gameplay, graphics, story... Yes, it has some character weaknesses etc., but let's not flatten everything... Everyone became elitists and criticize without even giving it a chance... Definitely with weaknesses, but overall a fine game that if it had another name, they would be praising it... If you like losing yourself with swords, bows, magic, elves, build up, chests, etc., get it yesterday...

Without being a bad game, unfortunately it has lost the charm of the old Dragon Age (I & II). Unfortunately, the art style regarding the graphics has changed, resulting in it being less impressive.
The gameplay is at a good level. The plot as well, although at certain points it gets confusing. Nevertheless, it is quite an entertaining game.

Played on PS5 Pro. In performance mode, the graphics are excellent and the FPS is stable at 60. Very nice gameplay and a good skill tree with many options to tailor the game to your liking. From a technical standpoint, it is excellent. Now, as for the story, it is very mediocre and the characters lack substantial depth. In this area, I believe Inquisition was much superior. Now, some political issues, etc., I think were presented in a very clumsy way. The previous games also had this element but presented it in a much smoother way without seeming unrelated to the lore. Here, it seems like it's becoming an end in itself, which completely took me out of the atmosphere of a Dragon Age game. Also, I didn't like the somewhat cartoonish appearance of the characters, but that's subjective. In conclusion, I consider it an average Dragon Age but a good game for someone who is not familiar with this particular game series.

Well, having played all the games in the series, I have to say it’s a pretty good game and quite large. You’ll spend several hours and it has a nice little story. The graphics are very good and the gameplay is smooth. I wanted to give it a 3, but generously I’ll give it a 4 because it mixes in "politics" more than it should. OK, you create a non-binary character, no problem, but there’s no need to emphasize it within the game and to force "politics" through it. At some point, I got tired of those specific dialogues. In the end, we want to save the world from evil, not delve so deeply into these issues. And also, since you messed it up, why do you come out and say it’s because there’s no online? Whatever.

Incredible game, graphics, story, very nice Character Creation, there are some things that are indifferent and don't fit in a Medieval game, but you just ignore them, you can't just kill a game just because some people have issues with certain political topics.

Another Dragon Age game where the story and plot are of the highest level and keep your interest.
An exceptionally vibrant world, good RPG system, very good combat system, sound and graphics at a very good level.
If you are a fan of the series, the story continues from Inquisition and they have tied it together very nicely.

  • Normally it would be a four, but I give it a five for all the clueless people who have been bothering us about some woke dialogues (first time in a game, huh?)...

  • Without being a bad game, unfortunately it has lost the charm of the old Dragon Age (I & II). Unfortunately, the art style regarding the graphics has changed, resulting in it being less impressive.
The gameplay is at a good level. The plot as well, although at certain points it gets confusing. Nevertheless, it is quite an entertaining game.
