It works properly like thousands of similar ones but the difference from other such contacts or from the older model is significant because it gives you the ability to set the time the contact should remain open for something to happen that you have set in a "scene". For example, by opening and remaining open for X seconds or minutes, an alarm can go off, a light can turn on, etc. And of course, if the contact closes earlier, nothing will happen.

⚡ Why "P" and not the regular one? (The Pro Breakdown)
Tamper Switch: This is where things get serious. If someone "smart" tries to rip it off the door, HA instantly gets a tamper alert. It's the difference between a toy and a real security system.
CR2477 Battery: We're talking about a "beast." Sonoff promises up to 5 years. In practice, this means you'll forget where the sensor is before you need to change its battery.
ZHA Native: Zero hassle. ZHA recognizes it with all its entities immediately. The latency? Simply non-existent.
? High-End Automations (Not just notifications)
In my setup, the SNZB-04P is the "maestro" in scenarios that make life easier:
The "Zero-Touch" Entry: As soon as the front door opens, HA checks the lux sensor. If it's dark, it turns on the hallway lights and tells the Google Nests to play my "Welcome Home" playlist.
Energy Management: The classic but essential. Open window for more than 90 seconds = AC goes to "Off" or "Eco." ZHA sends the command before the cool air escapes.
Security Lockdown: If the sensor opens in "Armed" mode, the house turns into a hellish disco. Sirens on the Nests, all lights flashing, and an immediate critical notification to the phone.
Design & Application
It's small, it's minimal, and most importantly, its magnet is strong. It doesn't need to be perfectly aligned with the sensor to work, which is a lifesaver for odd frames or old doors.
The Verdict: The SNZB-04P is the VFM "gem" of the Zigbee ecosystem. If you're running Home Assistant with ZHA and want instant response and tamper protection, look no further. It's the sensor that just always works.
Power Tip: Don't just put it on the door. Put it in your desk drawer or the cabinet with cleaning supplies so you know if the kids go where they shouldn't. The possibilities are as many as your ideas!

? High-End Αυτοματισμοί (Όχι απλά ειδοποιήσεις)
Στο δικό μου setup, ο SNZB-04P είναι ο "μαέστρος" σε σενάρια που λύνουν χέρια:
