The Duel Super eight-strand fishing line is made from Toyobo IZANAS polyethylene fibers and treated with H.I.P. (Heat Integration Process), which binds the fibers into a tight, round braid. The smooth braid reduces friction and noise as it passes through the rod guides, while the treatment makes it three times more abrasion-resistant than conventional lines. Its special coating limits water absorption and helps the line dry quickly, preventing it from sticking to the rod.

Its construction helps achieve long casts and smoother line release and winding on the reel. It also offers improved sensitivity: in a test using a 1 kg load on 100 m of line, elongation was 44.4 cm, compared with 86.3 cm for standard lines.
