I got this motherboard to install an i9-14900 (new) with DDR4 that I already had, since everyone knows what's going on with RAM these days.
Even though it's not a Z790, it has all the necessary settings to downgrade whatever is needed so that this processor doesn't self-destruct. It also features 12 power phases, so it can easily handle a CPU at 250W.
Generally easy BIOS and good build quality. There is a recent BIOS update, so it seems the company is still supporting the product.
-1 star because the HD Audio (3.5mm) had a problem. No matter which speakers I tried, there was intense buzzing, to the point where you couldn't use it. Unfortunately, I discovered this after I had set everything up and had no desire to go through the RMA process. In any case, I have a USB audio card.
From what I saw, it might be a more widespread issue, because another review also mentions buzzing in the HD Audio.
