On the positive side, the shoe is very comfortable, fits well on the foot, has a soft step with a good heel/toe transition, and very good traction. There is plenty of room in the toes; it is not tight. On the negative side, the tongue is very thick and the feeling it leaves you with when tied is average. No matter how tightly I tie them, I think it's not enough. However, the main negative is that you can feel even the slightest stone. This left a very negative impression on me. Even though it is a high shoe and the traction is good, many times I felt pinches from stones. I have other Salomon shoes (Genesis, Thundercross) and none have this issue. Therefore, I recommend it for smooth dirt trails without steep inclines. Trails like Arma and Elafi Parnitha are just fine for this shoe. I would give it three stars, but at €100 it is worth a lot, so I give it four.
