Amazing value for money, even if it wasn't bought during Black Friday, when it was at 299. Bought from Kotsos 01/2026, it came with the *.7 software version so I imagine it doesn't have the red tint issue.
I don't know if I'm the right judge since I came from a 29-inch ultrawide LG IPS (29UM69G-B) where in Hz, colors, contrast, brightness it's like going from a Zastava to a Pagani.
tl;dr:
- If your previous monitor was a simple/old monitor, don't even think about it.
- If you're in a bright room during the day, don't even think about it.
- If you have OLED or another Mini-LED, travel to the ends of the earth to see it in person to understand.
- The second best after OLED.
- Windows needs tweaking, MacOS is plug and play.
- The monitor has no speakers, even though in Windows it appears as a sound source. The manufacturer says it doesn't have any.

Windows: HDR off from Windows settings, only enabled from the monitor. With local dimming on Low, Medium, or High, on sites with dark mode, the letters appear a bit—not blurry—but as if you have the contrast maxed out. To simulate it, go to your monitor and set the contrast as high as possible, then you'll understand what I mean.
If you set local dimming off, then it turns into any regular IPS with brightness at 100%. Basically, don't even bother changing monitor, keep your money and buy lootboxes in CS. If you get this one for an upgrade, local dimming should be on low, medium, or high, strictly whatever you prefer.

MacOS: Plug and play, you don't change anything and everything works perfectly, at 2K 144Hz.

It's definitely an amazing monitor, I keep tweaking the settings until I get it where I want, but I'm definitely not there yet. I'll come back with the final settings. If it had Type-C for charging/DP it would be an unreserved recommendation.

On the negative side, I'd definitely say you need a bit to get used to the local dimming visually, since IPS just have a single light source behind the monitor, which is why IPS have the light bleed characteristic.

ps: The photo with the tomato is to show the contrast and is edited with iOS clean up UNDER the monitor so the cables don't show. The monitor per se has nothing, it's a point-and-shoot photo.

First impressions as a one-week owner, I have to say this is an amazing monitor. I got it for €250 when it was on offer and at this price, it's totally worth it. Of course, you're taking your chances whether you'll enjoy it or spend all your time in the menu fixing the red tint. I got version 1.0.06, but luckily I don't have the red tint issue. HDR appears dark and with washed-out colors only if I have it enabled from the Windows settings, so I keep it off there and turn it on from the OSD and it's fine. Local dimming is the best thing as a former IPS user. As many say, it's best to have it only when gaming or watching videos/movies; for general use, only on low is it decent. As for colors, I have to say just amazing colors (as you can see in the photos). Pleasant menu, good response, I didn't notice any ghosting anywhere, and it's the closest you can get to OLED at this price. MiniLED as a technology is worth more than a typical IPS if the price is right, as long as it has many dimming zones like this one, and you get OLED-level picture and can switch it to regular IPS. I believe it's one of the most value-for-money monitors you can get.

Whatever I say is not enough... a magical experience at a very affordable price. I agree with all the friends. I use it on my PC with DisplayPort and on the PS5 and it's awesome. What surprised me is that because it's IPS with local dimming and not VA with local dimming, if I enable HDR and local dimming high, the blooming on the cursor is minimal. On a previous monitor costing 1200 euros with VA local dimming, the blooming was unbearable. Imagine, I always have it in HDR mode with local dimming high and it looks incredible. The blacks are the best with local dimming high and since I've seen expensive VA with dimming zones, IT HAS NOTHING TO ENVY. The blacks are wonderful. The colors are vivid.
*HDR is locked but on PC it doesn't matter because you can adjust it from the Nvidia control panel. On the PS5, even though HDR is locked, in new games that have HDR (and their own settings) HDR works perfectly. But be careful. The game must support HDR for HDR to work properly on the PS5. The console menu as well as games that do not support HDR have low brightness. So in these cases, it's nerve-wracking to see everything darker. The best fix in these cases is to turn off HDR from the monitor, and use the settings I recommend on the monitor (they are the closest to HDR): Local dimming: High, Game mode: on, select mode: RPG, Brightness: 100, Contrast: 100, Hue: 50, Sharpness: 50, Dark scene boost: 50, DCR: OFF. You don't need anything else. AMAZING MONITOR in all caps, don't even think about it. The specs at this price are a dream. No flickering, nothing. **The monitor next to it is 24 inches.

I recently acquired the monitor and I must say that I am absolutely satisfied. However, there are some observations that may help those interested:

• Regarding normal use of Windows, I recommend disabling HDR and Local Dimming in these cases. When enabled, there is noticeable blooming behind the cursor or in areas with bright elements, while the white is excessively bright and dark colors become very dark. This can strain the eyes and make it difficult to use in everyday applications.
• For gaming, HDR and Local Dimming (High) make a difference. The blacks reach a level close to 90%+ of OLED, while HDR truly changes the gaming experience. The overall image is excellent, with strong contrasts and very vibrant colors, a class above a simple IPS with HDR400.
• As for the Red Tint Bug, my monitor has firmware 1.0.06, for which there are reports that it may exhibit the Red Tint Bug. After several checks, I can confirm that in my case, the problem is not observed. However, this seems to depend on luck as well.
• Finally, although it is not certified as G-Sync, its performance is excellent. In fact, it may perform better than my previous monitor 27G2, which was G-Sync Compatible. Overall, I consider the monitor an excellent choice, especially for gaming and HDR content. I highly recommend it for those looking for high performance in this price range.

I have been a owner of this monitor for 25 days and I would say it is worth the money, especially for those who bought it on Black Friday. In desktop use, it is a very good IPS essentially and in HDR, it has amazing colors and brightness. However, the batches from 06/24, the majority of which come with firmware 1.0.6 or 1.0.7, have incorrect calibration of 6500K in sRGB or DCi-P3 with a warmer white (red tint), which can be easily noticed by switching from standard mode to energy saver and back to standard. You will notice that it corrects to cooler colors, which is the correct 6500K calibration, but upon restarting the monitor, it goes back to warm. With a quick search online, you will find information about this issue, which is doubtful if it will be fixed with any firmware update since the monitor does not have a USB port. Regarding HDR, after making some adjustments to the colors, the monitor performs amazingly with local dimming high, which you can also leave for desktop use, playing a bit with the brightness so that blooming is minimized to the point of being invisible. In conclusion, it is the closest you can get to an OLED monitor but at a significantly lower price.

A monitor that truly stands out for its price and features, especially if you're looking for something for gaming or general use.

What I liked

• Image quality: The IPS panel delivers vibrant colors and clear viewing angles, even if you're not sitting directly in front of it.
• Smooth motion: With a 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, all games and movies run flawlessly without stuttering.
• Design: It's modern, with slim bezels and a stand that easily adjusts to the height you want.
• Value for money: For what it offers, it's truly value for money.

What I didn't like as much

• HDR: While it supports HDR, its brightness doesn't reach the "wow" effect promised by more expensive monitors.
• Few ports: It doesn't have USB-C, which would be useful for easy connection to a laptop or other devices.

Conclusion

It is an excellent choice if you're looking for a quality and fast monitor without spending a fortune. It's ideal for gaming, but also for everyday use. With small compromises on extras, it does the basics perfectly! Black Friday offer at 320 during this period.

**UPDATE** 3/9/25. After 10 months of use: the monitor developed an issue with vertical lines on the image, even though it hasn't been hit or mishandled. I have already started the warranty process. Eventually, a problem appeared at 144Hz and 180Hz after my own tests. At 120Hz it works without any problem. Xiaomi informed me that it should be checked. I mention this so that future buyers know there might be an issue with its operation at 144Hz. Version V10.06

**UPDATE** 18/9/25. It was replaced with a brand new monitor by Info Quest's service and version V10.07. Very good and prompt aftersales from Xiaomi

I own 3 simple yet decent IPS monitors on my computer and a good OLED TV for PS5-Xbox Series S, and I was very curious about whether this mini LED monitor actually captures the colors and blacks of OLED.
Initially, it has a very nice stand that adjusts perfectly in height and tilt. It has a LED ring light at the back with several customization options.
In terms of image settings, it has few options, and I think with a little experience, you can easily adjust it for the best result.
Now let's talk about the image. With full local dimming on the classic OLED demo videos on YouTube, it indeed has almost absolute "blacks"; you have to see it up close to believe it. Of course, its colors are also wonderful.
I think that practically the only disadvantage compared to an OLED TV is the clarity of the image, which is logical since the monitor is QHD while the TVs are 4K. In terms of colors and "blacks," it is about 80% like my TV. However, in terms of brightness, mini LEDs are much brighter, so it's good to choose the panel based on the brightness of the room.
The only problems are three:
First, the lack of USB for potential future software upgrades (there are already reports on Reddit about cases where a pink hue appears on a white background and goes away with a restart of the monitor).
Second, on PS5, HDR is very dark, so it needs to be turned off. Practically, I didn't notice any significant difference in the image with HDR turned off.
On the contrary, on PC and Xbox, HDR works perfectly.
And finally, third, for simple browsing, local dimming needs to be completely turned off because the cursor and text have a lot of blooming.
So we conclude that the monitor is a bit finicky and requires some tweaking of the settings depending on how you use it.
In summary, at this price and with a few concessions to some negatives it has, it is a very good choice with almost 1/3 of the budget you need for an OLED panel.

Since there is no review yet, I decided to make the first one to help the potential buyer. I will divide my review into categories:
- Build quality. It is what you would expect from this category. Sturdy, quite high quality without any strange creaks. On the back, it has LED lighting around the stand connection, as seen in the picture. Nice lighting, but anyone who wants can turn it off through the settings. Overall, very good quality for its price.
- Menu-control. The control is done by a joystick only. Its menus are nice, respond very well, and its settings are sufficient. Not anything sophisticated, but it has everything you would expect to find in the basics of a decent monitor. Quite satisfied, although I would expect a slightly better control since the panel has many features.
- Stand. I don't know. I put it directly on my own base. Nevertheless, it looks quite sturdy and I don't think anyone will have a problem. From what I saw, fleetingly, it has metal parts and is heavy, looks quality. However, since I didn't install it, I don't have a real opinion.
- Picture quality. Really VERY GOOD picture. It resembles more of a good OLED than an IPS. This is due to the mini LED technology that supports the panel. The 1152 LED zones it has are well above the competition in this price category and provide an incredible result. The colors are very vibrant and pleasant. Their accuracy is perfect for gamers and satisfactory for content creators, where color accuracy is important, although I would suggest another monitor for that, without meaning that the monitor doesn't have good colors. It's fine for every use, but it's not specialized for content creation, where it does its job satisfactorily. The refresh rate is quite high and I didn't notice any input lag in games, nor motion blur anywhere. Overall excellent, considering its price category, even for panels priced 100-150€ higher.
In conclusion, it is, by far, the best monitor you can buy for this money. After searching, but also personal experience, I recommend it without reservation. Excellent purchase at a very good price. I am very satisfied. Anyone looking for a VFM, quality monitor, it is a no-brainer.
Of course, there are better options, but not at this price. As long as it has this price and the competition is at this level today, it is the best choice in this price category.
