For proper contact to occur, the dashboard must be 100% flat without any hint of curvature. Otherwise, it does not fit. How many cars after 2000 have completely flat surfaces on the dashboard? Unless someone has a pickup truck from the 1980s. If you want it for an office, for a boat, etc., it changes the situation. But for a car, I personally found it useless.
