K2 is a board game in which each player controls a team of 2 climbers, trying to reach the summit of K2 and return before the other teams and before the mountain hazards become fatal. Each player uses an identical deck of cards. The cards are used to move your climbers along the path shown on the game board or to adjust the members of your team.
Players can also set up a tent and wait for better weather conditions. It is necessary to carefully choose your path, as other climbers can block your way, while you must monitor the approaching weather, which can reduce your adjustment to 0, leading to losses.
K2 is a hand management game for 1-5 players, with intense interaction and a low luck factor, lasting up to 60 minutes. The theme of the game is very well reflected by its mechanical aspects, including elements such as changing weather conditions, lack of oxygen, and climber accidents.
