You wake up in the dark with only a candle and... have you done this before? The déjà vu is less troubling than the change it suggests. Has the ground always been so unstable around you? Did the tunnels always collapse into pits, screaming? And why does it seem like those screams are getting closer? Shrieking Hollow is an expansion that adds a new threat and a new area to explore within The Night Cage. The pits now connect the prisoners to the Hollow, where the Other awaits. During the game, the Other will emerge from the Hollow and attack the prisoners, destroying any part of the maze it encounters. If the prisoners are brave, they can jump into a pit and fall to the bottom of the Hollow, where the dim light of their candles will temporarily halt its advance. However, they cannot keep it at bay forever, and prisoners who remain too close to the Other will be attacked when it moves toward the flickering light it despises.
