At first I believed it measured correctly.
The comparison was made with a mercury thermometer.
While the gallium one showed 36.6 after 4 minutes of measurement as stated by the manufacturer, the mercury one showed 36.9 after a 5-minute measurement

It is very reliable, but after a certain point, to move it and get it to 34.9 (so it can make reliable measurements when you put it on), you have to be a gymnastics champion to apply the right amount of force. Also, it says it needs 4 minutes in the armpit to take a measurement, but I would say one or two minutes more is safer

it was cut off immediately, it was the only easy way to lower the temperature

The thermometer is something you forget about until the moment you need it. That's what happened to me today when I needed it—it just didn't work! It stays stuck showing between 36.1 and 36.2... No matter what I did, the reading wouldn't change. Otherwise, it's 'Made in Germany, Patented'... One star, and that's being generous!

I consider it to be user-friendly, and the closest thing to a mercury thermometer that I have been accustomed to for decades. How accurate it is in its measurements, I do not know, since I cannot compare it to mercury, and for that reason, I give it 4 stars. M.K.

Reliable and well-made. It does its job perfectly and its case is what makes me recommend it!

Compared to the mercury one and a digital one I have that had almost the same measurement, this one has a large discrepancy. It showed 38.3 while it was 37.6 in an infant

It is accurate but slower than the old mercury ones. Compared to the old thermometers, the liquid drops much more slowly in the same way as before (with the hand and a sharp shake) but with greater force and more repetitions. However, if you put it in the plastic and shake it exactly like the old mercury ones with large sudden movements (but hold it by the case, not the thermometer itself), then the liquid drops quickly.

To bring it down after the fever to 35, you take your hand out of the shaking and still it doesn't....!!! You end up without a hand...!!! I bought another one to avoid this problem!

Reliable with accurate measurements! I might not recommend it for babies or very small children due to the measurement time of 4 minutes. Of course, electronic ones are unreliable. They have large deviations. I have tried many electronic ones, and compared to the mercury one I had in the past, the deviations were significant. The measurements of this particular thermometer are comparable to that of mercury. This is the third one I am buying, and I am very satisfied.

Okay, a slightly complicated thermometer in terms of its use, but this is due to the fact that it gives you greater security that it won't break if it falls down, plus it also functions as a magnifying glass to help you see the temperature better.

Good thermometer but loses one star for the 4 minutes it takes to show the temperature and another one for the difficulty in seeing the reading. Excellent the design for pouring the gallium at 35 degrees

It broke in my hands the very first time I tried to lower the temperature. Just like that, the tip came off..

It takes 5 minutes because it doesn't have mercury, but the measurement is accurate, and when you're done, you put it in the plastic, shake it a little, and immediately the temperature drops so you can use it again

Precision thermometer, easy to use and reliable! Yes, the probe broke on me after 2 years of use and without it it was a bit harder to get the temperature down but okay, instead of doing it all at once I did it 3-4 times... It broke on me unfortunately but of course I will buy the same one again, I wouldn't change it!

Yes, it measures well. Yes, it takes time to measure. Yes, it's difficult to lower, although I managed it every time. And, of course, yes, from lowering it, the little tongue would break and quite quickly (photo)...

Those who say that the liquid doesn't come down easily after the measurement simply don't understand how the special device works. After other thermometers where I was actually about to dislocate my wrist, I finally do my job in 3 seconds. As for the measurement time, I leave it for 5 minutes just to be sure, instead of the 4 it says, and it's perfectly fine. For the price, don't think about it!

I hesitated to buy it, however when I saw discrepancies in the measurements of digital thermometers, I bought it. If you read the instructions and properly apply the thermometer in the special case it has to "lower" the temperature, its use is very easy. The case will NOT tear if you hold it correctly (that is, not by the "flap"). If you place the thermometer in the case, hold it by putting your thumb between the thermometer and the "flap" of the case and shake it 2-3 times, it will lower immediately. The measurements are very accurate. I recommend it!

The review is not addressed to fun lovers ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in the five-star category.
Very difficult the "nullification" at the limits of "give it up," impractical for the elderly and generally not for everyone lacking strong arms.
I ordered it due to positive comments and with the thought that it would be of similar ease to those of mercury in terms of usage.
The product is contained in the box. It is not sealed; however, it is NON-RETURNABLE, which you realize after purchase.
During the selection, the indication "Return restrictions apply" is displayed, referring to another page with other subpages, and you get lost.
If it had clearly stated initially "The product is non-returnable," I would not have purchased it.

I do not trust its measurements...
Anyone who has it should do the following test...
Hit the thermometer vertically on the table from the opposite side of the tip of the nose... and see the reading.
I hit it 10 times and the reading goes up, I have reached 39 degrees without even touching its tip.

I WOULD NOT CALL IT RELIABLE

No way.. don't buy it

To download it you have to take your hand off.. and in the end the temperature doesn't go down.. I threw it away.

The plastic case is very practical to help you bring it down, but that's about it. After a few uses, you get the feeling that the handle that you hold to shake it will break. It takes a long time to go up, so it's not practical for small children. After almost a year and without much use, it no longer goes up.

When I first used it without reading the instructions, I actually struggled to download it the traditional way and the result was disappointing. Once I placed it correctly in the white case, the download became a piece of cake. I only have one reservation about the durability of the flicking tongue after multiple uses. Some mention that it is not for long-term use. We will see in practice. Otherwise, I would say it is the most high-quality and accurate one can purchase in the category of French thermometers, and at such a low price.

To lower the temperature, try the classic "flick" but at a steady and slower pace. I flick it by holding it from the height of my head and ending at the height of my hips, I wait there for a second and repeat 5 to 10 times.

Useless product, the previous indication does not go down at all, meaning I managed to measure only once and now I am trying to bring down the indication by putting it inside a sock and spinning it at high speed as I saw on YouTube, risking breaking it

Supposedly German products are the best... at least they used to be...
And yet, the plastic "case" broke on the second day, without which the temperature reading does NOT come down at all. First, your hand gets dislocated from the flick, and then the fever reading comes down. I found this way of plastic bonding. We'll see how long this will hold up too!!

Its measurements are very accurate, just like those of mercury. However, it takes a long time to show, it goes down difficultly, and with the slightest hit, it stops showing and you have to get another one, without breaking.

Neither does it go up easily nor does it go down easily, trouble, especially for a child who doesn't have the patience to sit still, it doesn't work, it takes several minutes to show the fever.

Excellent thermometer, for those who do not trust electronic ones. It takes 4 minutes to measure the temperature, it is very well made, and the case has a built-in magnifying lens for easier reading.

It takes a little passion to throw it, the secret is to shake it inside (together) with the packaging, holding it from the other end.

It is more expensive than electronic thermometers. Like the mercury ones. I say this after various measurements and comparisons.
