The Asmodee board game Pandemic is a cooperative strategy game in which players take on the roles of specialists and try to contain four diseases spreading around the world. On each turn, every player can take up to four actions, such as moving between cities, treating patients, discovering a cure, or building a research station. Players win if they discover a cure for all four diseases, but lose if the outbreaks spiral out of control or time runs out.
Cards determine the available actions and the spread of diseases, while epidemic cards accelerate and intensify their spread. Each specialist has different abilities that affect the team’s strategy.
