Description

Van Eijk tulip bulb with maximum height of 55 cm. The bulb is available loose, per piece. The tulip is considered a relatively easy plant to grow. Planting should take place from early October until the end of November. The tough outer shell is not removed, as it helps protect against pests. The bulb should be placed with the pointed tip facing up and the wide part facing down, and covered with soil according to the planting depth.

The flowering period lasts from March to May depending on the variety, with a blooming duration of approximately 15-20 days. To extend the flowering period, it is recommended to plant in a semi-shady position with protection from strong winds. Additionally, bulbs can be planted in groups with 7-10 days apart or at different depths.

Climate and soil: The ideal location for bulbs is the north side or another protected area from strong winds and midday sun. It is recommended to use sandy soil that offers excellent drainage, which can be enriched with manure or compost.

Fertilization: It is recommended to fertilize once a week with liquid organic fertilizer POKON for indoor and outdoor plants, starting as soon as the shoots begin to appear.

After flowering: It is advised to continue watering and fertilizing for 2-6 weeks after flowering until the leaves dry out. Afterwards, bulbs should be carefully dug out and stored in a protected, well-ventilated area at a temperature of 5-10°C.
