Well, I have tried so far this particular Lagavulin 15, Laphroig and Oban. For me, things are clear, either you go smoky or leave it and try another style. The first two are flavorful punches, the other two are a bit weak. I think Laphroig is by far the best value for money, while Lagavulin is worth the 70+ euros if you can find it... still at this price. I have the impression that the Green label and Laphroaig at fifty euros are two good whiskies for their price. The next one I will get will definitely be Laphroaig, but after trying something in a different style (from sherry barrels...). One thing that crosses my mind is the following: with this money and even less, you can find very nice wines, so I really don't know at the moment, except for exceptions, if the category below 50 euros is worth it... However, Aberlour is the driest in taste (leaning slightly towards Lagavulin), out of the three, while Oban has something subtle like pomegranate in the aftertaste. I prefer Aberlour over Oban, even though it is slightly cheaper. These are my thoughts, dear fellow citizens in beautiful Bananaia

Nice, smooth, easy to drink! "Attention" when ordering this specific whiskey. The one depicted has stopped being produced, but it has been replaced with a new version called Aberlour 10y Forest Reserve! The distributor has not informed correctly, at least the three barrels I spoke with, they consider it to be the same content with just a different label. The new "expression" finishes in French Limousin oak barrels after aging in bourbon & sherry as usual in the old Aberlour 10.
