Its name in Celtic means "The Sound of Islay," the splash of the waves. Caol Ila is a fresh, fruity, and smooth, straw-colored malt whisky. Clean nose that highlights mild citrus aromas with a hint of smoke. Oily and smoky taste, with notes of caramel, with a long and sweet aftertaste.

    Full of smoke, iodine, amazing nose, fantastic aftertaste, very oily, very special whisky, NOT for EVERYONE, if you want a light whisky, that doesn't "burn", to put ice, coke, sodas & the like, the liquor stores have Cutty Sark too, guys.......
    No irony, just when you get to pay 50+€ for a whisky, it's good to know what you want to drink ???????

Ardbeg Laphroaig Lagavulin Port Ellen Kilchoman Bruichladich ... Excellent example of Islay with medium smokiness and a sweet aftertaste.

    Another good smoky single malt! Like lagavulin but lighter. Of course, this can only be characterized as a positive. I believe that whiskies of this kind are best paired with a good cigar! And also with crackers and cream cheese with salmon!
