I come from Android, specifically from Samsung S24, and have been an Android user for 10 years. I have to say that this is a very good phone, more premium than the S, and most importantly, it has very proper and well-made software. Unfortunately, Samsung did not manage to do something good with the software; personally, I was disappointed. And I don’t just mean the apps and the UI, because the iPhone 16 really doesn’t lag anywhere. But also with the combination of software and camera, something that Apple manages excellently—you get 100% out of your camera and it shows compared to the S, which with One UI 8 made my selfies look pixelated. Anyway, the battery lasts me a day quite satisfactorily without any speed limitations, it doesn’t lag anywhere, maybe not the fastest but definitely the most reliable phone, as is its camera, which is truly one shot and you’re done, same for video. But I would like better focus, as it gets confused quite easily, and ultimately doesn’t do as well, and also better feedback with the touch for brightness. The screen is amazing with very good resolution due to the high ppi; personally, I don’t notice a difference between 120 and the 60 Hz it has. It works perfectly with social media and with any app, I’d say. There is a serious problem with the gallery, which is completely inconvenient, and the fact that you can’t initially transfer photos from a Windows PC to the iPhone at all, and transferring photos from the iPhone to the PC is very difficult and lags, as the iPhone photos appear completely mixed up on Windows. The only solution I’ve found is from iPhone to USB and from USB to PC. Beyond that, I think it’s worth the money, it offers a very strong package and post-purchase support, as the updates are well taken care of. Generally, it’s a very simple phone, you won’t mess with specialized settings like on Android. Also, all the settings are indeed in the settings, and you can’t change them from anywhere else. Generally, if you’re an Android user and want to switch to iOS, it takes thought but mostly determination, as you’ll encounter many obstacles during use and quite a bit of searching on AI for settings, etc. Something that impressed me is the connectivity—Bluetooth, wifi, signal, etc.—everything works perfectly; overall, it’s clear that it relies on software and not hardware, and I’d say that’s the right thing for a mobile phone. Lastly, the selfie is quite good, especially in high lighting conditions, it doesn’t forgive, but at night the selfie flash is terrible, though fortunately there’s night mode for those who want to take night selfies.
