The Hartmann Hydrotac dressing is a transparent hydrocellular gel dressing made from a hydrated polyurethane polymer with glycerin. It releases moisture and absorbs a small amount of exudate, creating a moist wound environment. Its transparency allows the wound to be monitored without removing the dressing, while the semi-permeable layer helps prevent bacteria from entering.
It is suitable for the long-term care of dry or low-exuding wounds during the granulation and epithelialisation phases. It can be cut to the desired size; a secondary dressing is recommended for secure fixation.
