In Earth Defense Force: World Brothers for Nintendo Switch, Earth is made up of digital blocks and has been shattered into pieces. EDF soldiers are fighting in different countries and can be rescued to join your team. During battles, switching between team members lets you take advantage of their unique abilities.

The game features weapons and vehicles from previous releases in the series, as well as familiar enemies in block form. Each mission can be played with up to 4 team members, and the game supports online co-op and local multiplayer. Online play requires an internet connection, a Nintendo Account, and a Nintendo Switch Online membership, sold separately.
