CUDY AX3000 OUTDOOR ACCESS POINT

  • HIGH POWER WIFI 6
  • 2.5G
  • IP65

Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 Architecture

The base station incorporates the Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 standard, offering a theoretical data transfer rate of up to 2402 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. The dual-band architecture allows for load separation, reducing network congestion. Overall performance is optimized when using compatible client devices. At the same time, the device is suitable for demanding network applications that require high bandwidth and low latency in outdoor locations.

Signal Boosters and Antennas

The transmission system is equipped with 5 independent power amplifiers (Power Amplifiers). The antenna configuration consists of 1 internal antenna with a gain of 6dBi and 2 external antennas also at 6dBi. This 3+2 combination enhances signal penetration and extends coverage range in large outdoor areas. This design reduces dead zones, ensuring stable communication in environments with minimal radio frequency (RF) interference.

Resistance to Extreme Environmental Conditions

The device is certified with IP65, offering complete protection against dust and resistance to water jets. The board features 6 KV surge protection on the Ethernet port, preventing damage from electrical surges. The unit is designed to operate reliably within an extremely wide temperature range, from -40°C to 70°C, fully meeting the specifications for industrial and extreme weather conditions.

Power and Connectivity

The network connection is made through 1 Ethernet port with a speed of 10/100/1000 Mbps. The unit supports power over Ethernet according to the 802.3at standard as well as 48-57V Passive PoE. The package includes a PoE 48V adapter, simplifying the installation process in locations without direct access to a power supply. This flexibility makes installing the equipment on poles or high points completely practical.

Network Operation Flexibility

The base station software supports multiple operating modes, providing adaptability to different topologies. It features Access Point mode for creating a new network, Router mode for routing, Repeater (RE) mode for relaying an existing signal, WISP mode for receiving and sharing wireless internet, as well as Mesh operation. Switching between these modes ensures optimal integration of the equipment in both home and professional networks.

It exceeded my expectations. In the center of Athens, I managed to link two buildings that are 100m apart. Both were necessarily installed at about 3m height from the sidewalk. Between them there are trees, branches, and various other obstacles due to the elevation difference of the two points. I managed to get 81 Mbps speed from a 100 Mbps Cosmote fiber connection. Very easy setup, it took me 5 minutes. It also includes a POE injector in the package.

  • Very satisfied, very easy to install and set up. It has both bands or just one if you prefer. Very good web interface with countless options, new firmware to update, and very good performance for the garden. I will see in the future how it holds up in the rain.

Amazing product. I use it to provide internet in a fairly large football stadium, the results in terms of range are unreal. In terms of speed, it's average but that's my fault because I have placed it far from the router with a wireless connection; when I connect it with a cable I will update.

I installed 3 in rental accommodations, in combination with Elon's satellite internet. One was placed outdoors with a cable and the other two inside buildings operating wirelessly in Mesh mode. It easily passes through walls and has excellent range and speed.
-With the Cudy app you can bind them to your account and monitor them remotely.
-Also, they are supported by OpenWRT!

    On the negative side:
-It does not have multiple SSIDs and VLAN.
-In general, the firmware is very limited, while other models from the same company have these features. I spoke with Cudy support and they told me that at some point a firmware update for multiple SSIDs will be released.

Update 6/2026: Now with the new firmware it supports multiple SSIDs and VLAN. They still work perfectly without problems. I haven't had to deal with them again since installation.

3rd day of use in rented tourist homes. The walls are made of concrete and brick, no drywall anywhere, yet the antennas are excellent! Very good range, zero losses, very easy to install and operate via the Cudy app. Of course, the 5GHz doesn't reach after 2 walls, but that's quite reasonable. With 2.4GHz, passing through 3 walls, it reaches 50-100 Mbps with a maximum provided 350Mbps from the well-known satellite, which I've almost achieved at a distance of 20m facing the antenna. I will return for more
