The Hoya ND filter is a neutral density filter for camera lenses that reduces the amount of light passing through the lens by 3 stops. ACCU-ND technology reduces light equally across the visible and infrared spectrums, limiting color shifts under different outdoor conditions.
When filming, it allows you to adjust the shutter speed to match the frame rate while maintaining the desired depth of field. For moving subjects, it also helps create motion blur. In photography, it enables longer exposure times or a shallower depth of field in bright sunlight. Threads on the front and rear allow you to stack additional ND filters or attach a screw-on lens cap.
