First of all, the house I live in has autonomous heating with oil, which I consider the best option for an apartment. However, due to the lack of agreement in the apartment building to get oil, I have been looking for substitutes for some time. Inside the apartment, I have two air conditioners, one very old and one fifteen years old, a small fireplace, and a convector heater. To all the above, I added this DeLonghi oil radiator.

Advantages:
Excellent heating quality. It is exactly the same as classic water radiators.
Bedroom of 15 to 25 square meters, it turns it into an oven. It is slower in heating performance but clearly has much better quality. In larger spaces, around 40 square meters, it doesn’t turn it into an oven but maintains a stable temperature.
Excellent thermostat. For example, I set it to 20 degrees, and the room was exactly 20.
For those who use wi-fi sockets, this is exactly what you need. Because it has an on-off switch, I can operate it remotely an hour before I go home and the room is already warm.
Very high-quality construction.

Disadvantages:
It is quite difficult to move due to its weight. Additionally, it only has one handle, which is not convenient at all.
The consumption is relatively high compared to its output. Of course, it compensates with quality. If you have central heating or an inverter air conditioner, those are clearly cheaper. Since I had a large 18 BTU air conditioner from 25 years ago, it consumed exactly the same as the oil radiator (2.5 kWh/hour). A 15-year-old Mitsubishi inverter (12,000 BTU) I have uses 1.5 kWh/hour. All measured with the TP LINK socket.

If you run it at MAX all the time, consumption reaches two and a half kWh per hour, which is about €0.6 with all the extras. For me, since I keep it at a constant temperature and it reaches the room’s temperature, it uses about 1.2 kWh per hour, i.e., €0.30.

I forgot to mention that the thermostat has three settings (1100, 1400, and 2500 watts), which are not controlled by us but are automatic.

Now, as much as I can, I only use this form of heating as the healthiest for people, even though I know it is more expensive. It doesn’t smell at all except for the first time you run it at full power, it doesn’t emit any dangerous particles like kerosun stoves, and it definitely doesn’t dry the air like an air conditioner does. Overall, I am very satisfied

Because many people may (as I did before I got it) wonder exactly how the new model with the new thermostat works, I decided to do an analysis here so that people can know some "very important peculiarities" of the model with the Easytronic thermostat. First of all, let me say that I also own both the 9-fin and the 12-fin old model with the MIN MED power switches where you could manually set the desired power on its 3 operating levels. In the new model, these switches NO LONGER EXIST, so you don't have manual control over the power. The thermostat is now purely a temperature thermostat and you set it according to the desired room temperature you want to reach. The power levels it can operate at are the same as the old one ~1100W, ~1400W, and combined ~2500W, but now the radiator chooses its operating power "automatically" based on the room temperature and the temperature setting on the thermostat. Below the thermostat, there is only one button which is supposedly called ECO MODE but in reality, THE ONLY THING IT DOES is lock the radiator's operation at its low power level, i.e., at ~1100W. It's inconceivable that there isn't an instruction sheet out there explaining these simple things. Personally, I had searched and couldn't find instructions for this particular one. Since I have all the radiators on wifi sockets that also measure consumption, I have a very good picture of how they behave. All my tests are in a room/office that in the morning is ~14-15c and with the thermostat at 19c for 3-4 hours of operation. This particular one (without ECO pressed) when you first turn it on and the body is cold will start at ~2500W to heat it up quickly, depending on the room and thermostat temperature it may stay at ~2500W for 20 to 30-35 minutes and then it will turn off and stay off for 15 to 25 minutes. When it starts up again, in my tests at least, it would automatically choose the low level at 1100W. Only once did it choose the medium for 5 minutes and then went to the low 1100W. What surprises me a bit though is that after the first heating at 2500W, its shutdown, and the selection of the low when it turns on again, then it rarely if ever turns off until it reaches the selected temperature. It can stay at 1100W straight for 2 hours without interruption. I think they designed it with the logic of minimizing on-off and the annoying sounds of switching on and off. They use the high level to heat quickly, and the low level to reach and maintain the temperature in the room without much switching on and off. The medium level is not used that often, but I repeat that my tests were done in realistic scenarios of room temperature 14-15c with the thermostat at 19c. Generally, in these conditions, either on automatic or eco mode, it will consume about 1 to 1.1 kWh for at least the first hours, until it reaches the selected temperature on the thermostat. The old model, especially the 9-fin at 2000W with the thermostat at 2 to 2.5, would turn off up to 3 times in an hour and you could see consumption even below 1 kWh from the second hour of operation, but still, if you had it in the bedroom while you were sleeping, it would get on your nerves a bit with the switching on and off.
CAUTION!! So, for those who will use it in a space with sockets that are on a 10A fuse, in old houses with old wiring where the 2500W might trip the fuse, or even if it doesn't trip, the wiring towards the panel might overheat excessively. If you are not sure about the wiring of the space and if the socket is not on a 16A fuse, it is better to prefer the 9-fin at 2000W, unless you want to operate this permanently in eco mode at 1100W. In such a case, however, do not expect it to heat up a space very quickly, do not expect it to turn off often, and expect a consumption (for at least the first 2-3 hours that I have tested it) at ~1.1 Kwh without turning off at all.
I will remove one star from this particular one because I think they could have kept the manual power selection option in addition to the automatic one. As it is now, it will operate either in automatic or in low with ECO. I don't think it would have been so difficult to give us a button for the medium setting at 1400W.
Other than that, like the previous De’Longhi models of this series, they remain top choices, just look a bit more carefully if you really need the 12-fin or the 9-fin depending on your use and the space where it will operate.
However, for someone with a 16A fuse, who wants the fastest heat output in the space and the quickest warm-up, or wants it for a bedroom and for sleeping, without caring much whether it consumes 1.1kwh or 0.9kwh, then the new 12-fin is probably the best choice both in terms of heating speed and in terms of annoying noises while you sleep.
Something else important for those who are wondering and use wifi sockets to turn it on and off remotely: if the radiator is turned off with the ECO MODE button on, even after a power outage it will turn back on with ECO MODE on. At least for a day without power, which I tested, it seems to retain the setting. I mention this for someone who is not comfortable operating it at 2500W and wants it permanently in ECO MODE. In any case, try this yourself too because I didn't test it for more than a day without power.

Very good choice, it didn't emit any smell, it makes absolutely no noise either when it starts to heat up or when you turn it off and it loses temperature (contraction and expansion). The cable is 1.4 meters. Excellent performance. The manufacturer says it is suitable for spaces up to 75 cubic meters (17 to 25 square meters depending on how high the room is - you cannot convert cubic meters to square meters without adding height as a third dimension). Anyway, it turned a 30 square meter room into a "oven" on the highest setting in about 1.5 hours (in the photos, you can see the size of the room). This is the new model TRRSE1225. The older one is the TRRS1225 and has many reviews on skroutz but something told me to choose the new one and as the events showed, I did EXCELLENT. I bought it for €99.90 and after 2 days we went to the store where the purchase was made with a family friend to buy the same model. Exactly the same experience... It would be good for someone to check it out on the DELONGHI page for more details, dimensions, etc. As for the electricity consumption, do your research with the help of the internet. If after 2 hours you lower it to the middle which is 21 degrees, it maintains the temperature at reasonable levels and operates automatically based on the sensor.
