I came across it by chance in a store while looking for a fragrance, and it caught my interest. I’m not particularly good at describing perfumes, but I’d call it sweet, with a distinctive character. I usually prefer lighter and more acidic scents, so this was something different.
In the end I bought it online, around €23 for 100 ml, down from about €38, so I consider it a very good purchase at that price.
The only thing that concerns me is the longevity. After about 1–1.5 hours it has already faded quite a bit, and a little later it’s hard to detect even on clothing. And in general I have the feeling that fragrance longevity has dropped quite a lot lately. Even the old Eau de Cologne we used to buy, I remember them lasting longer.

Unfortunately the longevity is very short to nonexistent. When I first smelled the fragrance I was thrilled... as time goes by I’m changing my mind. I don’t know why, but it doesn’t excite me that much.

Και γενικά έχω την αίσθηση ότι πλέον οι διάρκειες στα αρώματα έχουν πέσει αρκετά. Ακόμα και τα παλιά Eau de Cologne που παίρναμε, θυμάμαι να κρατούσαν περισσότερο.

"August" suited me perfectly for summer. I usually wear more woody and heavy fragrances, so I wanted something special and light, a bit out of my comfort zone. At first, it smelled green and didn't excite me, but the more I wore it, the more I started to love it. Afterwards, a fresh–sweet scent remains, just right for hot days.
The only drawback is that on my skin it doesn't last long (that's why -1 star). I also got the matching moisturizer to boost it, but the longevity didn't really change. Nevertheless, it has become my summer fragrance.

A friendly reminder: fragrance is something deeply personal. Not everyone wants to smell like candy… Avgoustos is different and thankfully it doesn’t try to please everyone. For me, it’s the most unique of the Korres line — subtle and fresh, yet magnetic and truly unisex. I have received countless compliments.

It is a beautiful, refreshing fragrance where fig and mandarin stand out. I expected it to be a bit sweeter like the cream that unfortunately got discontinued. It is more refreshing and "green" than I would like, which for me means more unisex and less feminine. It is very nice but not for me. I tried it on a paper strip, so I don't have an opinion on its longevity, but it was very intense and even there you could distinguish all its notes, unlike other fragrances that smell the same on paper

I bought it because I really love the smell of fig. It is exactly what its name promises: August in a bottle. It is pleasantly sweet and slightly leafy (common in fragrances where fig dominates), but unfortunately, I wouldn't say it has good longevity. For its retail price, which I think is around 29 euros, it may not be worth it. However, at €17, which is what I found it for here, I consider it fair, and at the very least, an affordable option for those who like fig and don't want to spend the 100 euros that Diptyque's Philosykos costs, but also don't want to buy a no-name imitation.

Όμως, στα €17 κάτι που το βρήκα εδώ, θεωρώ ότι είναι τίμιο, και αν μη τι άλλο μια οικονομική πρόταση για όσους τους αρέσει το σύκο και δεν θέλουν να δώσουν τα 100 ευρώ που έχει το Philosykos της Diptyque αλλά δεν θέλουν να πάρουν και no name απομιμήσεις.
Unfortunately, it is the second time that I have had a reaction to a product from Korres. With the first three sprays, I developed a rash that caused itching for 24 hours. I applied an antihistamine cream and it went away, but I did not have access to a hospital to get a medical certificate because I bought the perfume during a vacation period. However, I will not choose it again. I have never experienced anything similar with perfumes in my life.

Έβαλα αντισταμινική αλοιφή και μου πέρασαν, δεν είχα πρόσβαση σε νοσοκομείο για να λάβω ιατρική διαπίστευση διότι αγόρασα το άρωμα σε περίοδο διακοπών αλλά δεν θα το ξαναπροτιμήσω. Δεν έχω ξαναπάθει κάτι παρόμοιο με αρώματα στην ζωή μου.
I came across it by chance in a store while looking for a fragrance, and it caught my interest. I’m not particularly good at describing perfumes, but I’d call it sweet, with a distinctive character. I usually prefer lighter and more acidic scents, so this was something different.
In the end I bought it online, around €23 for 100 ml, down from about €38, so I consider it a very good purchase at that price.
The only thing that concerns me is the longevity. After about 1–1.5 hours it has already faded quite a bit, and a little later it’s hard to detect even on clothing. And in general I have the feeling that fragrance longevity has dropped quite a lot lately. Even the old Eau de Cologne we used to buy, I remember them lasting longer.
update 23/9:
Unfortunately the longevity is very short to nonexistent. When I first smelled the fragrance I was thrilled... as time goes by I’m changing my mind. I don’t know why, but it doesn’t excite me that much.
Έπεσα τυχαία πάνω του» σε ένα κατάστημα, ψάχνοντας για άρωμα, και μου κέντρισε το ενδιαφέρον. Δεν έχω ιδιαίτερη ικανότητα να περιγράφω αρώματα, αλλά θα το έλεγα γλυκό, με ιδιαίτερο χαρακτήρα. Συνήθως προτιμώ πιο ελαφριές και όξινες μυρωδιες, οπότε αυτό ήταν κάτι διαφορετικό.
Τελικά το πήρα online, γύρω στα 23€ τα 100 ml, από περίπου 38€, οπότε θεωρώ ότι σε αυτή την τιμή ήταν πολύ καλή αγορά.
Το μόνο που με προβληματίζει είναι η διάρκεια. Μετά από περίπου 1–1,5 ώρα έχει ήδη πέσει αρκετά και λίγο αργότερα δύσκολα το βρίσκεις ακόμα και στο ρούχο. Και γενικά έχω την αίσθηση ότι πλέον οι διάρκειες στα αρώματα έχουν πέσει αρκετά. Ακόμα και τα παλιά Eau de Cologne που παίρναμε, θυμάμαι να κρατούσαν περισσότερο.
update 23/9:
Δυστυχώς η διάρκεια είναι πολύ μικρή εώς και ανύπαρκτη. Το άρωμα οταν το πρωτομύρισα ενθουσιάστηκα... όσο περνάει ο καιρός αλλάζω γνώμη. Δε ξέρω γιατί αλλά δεν με ενθουσιάζει τόσο.
I tried it by chance and I can say that it smelled really nice. I liked it so much that I bought two packs to have one in the car as well. It smells like summer and I can say that it lasts quite a long time
Το δοκίμασα τυχαία και μπορώ να πω ότι μύριζε πάρα πολύ ωραία. Μου άρεσε τόσο που αγόρασα δύο συσκευασίες για να το έχω και στο αμάξι. Μυρίζει καλοκαίρι και μπορώ να πω ότι έχει αρκετά καλή διάρκεια
"August" suited me perfectly for summer. I usually wear more woody and heavy fragrances, so I wanted something special and light, a bit out of my comfort zone. At first, it smelled green and didn't excite me, but the more I wore it, the more I started to love it. Afterwards, a fresh–sweet scent remains, just right for hot days.
The only drawback is that on my skin it doesn't last long (that's why -1 star). I also got the matching moisturizer to boost it, but the longevity didn't really change. Nevertheless, it has become my summer fragrance.
Η «Αύγουστος» μου ταίριαξε τέλεια για καλοκαίρι. Συνήθως φοράω πιο ξυλώδη και βαριά αρώματα, οπότε ήθελα κάτι ιδιαίτερο και ελαφρύ, λίγο έξω από τα νερά μου. Στην αρχή μύριζε σαν πρασινάδα και δεν με ενθουσίασε, αλλά όσο τη φορούσα άρχισα να τη λατρεύω. Στη συνέχεια μένει μια φρέσκια–γλυκιά μυρωδιά, ό,τι πρέπει για τις ζεστές μέρες.
Το μόνο μειονέκτημα είναι ότι στο δικό μου δέρμα δεν κρατάει πολύ (γι' αυτό -1 αστέρι). Πήρα και την αντίστοιχη ενυδατική για να το ενισχύσω, αλλά δεν άλλαξε ιδιαίτερα η διάρκεια. Παρ’ όλα αυτά, μου έχει γίνει το καλοκαιρινό μου άρωμα.
A friendly reminder: fragrance is something deeply personal. Not everyone wants to smell like candy… Avgoustos is different and thankfully it doesn’t try to please everyone. For me, it’s the most unique of the Korres line — subtle and fresh, yet magnetic and truly unisex. I have received countless compliments.
If you’re not sure, it’s always wiser to try it in person first.
Μια φιλική υπενθύμιση: το άρωμα είναι κάτι βαθιά προσωπικό. Δεν θέλουμε όλοι να μυρίζουμε σαν καραμέλα… Το Avgoustos είναι διαφορετικό και ευτυχώς δεν προσπαθεί να αρέσει σε όλους. Για μένα είναι το πιο ξεχωριστό της σειράς Korres — διακριτικό και φρέσκο, αλλά μαγνητικό και πραγματικά unisex. Έχω δεχτεί αμέτρητα κομπλιμέντα.
Αν δεν είστε σίγουροι, είναι πάντα σοφότερο να το δοκιμάσετε πρώτα από κοντά.
