Sterile, individually packaged disposable petroleum gauzes, without active ingredients, for wound dressing.

The petroleum gauze consists of a material that is impregnated with white petroleum (hydrophobic and non-sensitizing). Thanks to the fiber mesh structure, the gauze allows exudates to flow freely while keeping the wound moist and simultaneously preventing it from sticking to the wound. This allows for a non-traumatic dressing change, meaning less pain for the patient.

• Petroleum (Vaselinum album according to Ph. Eur.)

Contraindications:

• There is a risk of adhesions in wounds without exudate formation.
• The products should not be used on deep wounds with cracks, wounds with a cavity/pocket formation, undermined wounds, fistulas, and abscesses.
• The gauzes should not be placed one on top of the other.
• A secondary suction cover is required.
