Sterile, individually packaged disposable petroleum gauze dressings, without active ingredients, for wound dressing.

The petroleum gauze consists of a material that is impregnated with white petroleum jelly (hydrophobic and non-sensitizing). Thanks to the structure of the fiber mesh, the gauze allows secretions to flow freely while keeping the wound moist and simultaneously preventing it from sticking to the wound.

This allows for atraumatic dressing changes, meaning reduced pain for the patient.

Composition:

• Viscose
• Polyester
• Petroleum jelly (Vaselinum album according to Ph. Eur.)

Contraindications:

• There is a risk of adhesion in wounds without exudate formation.
• The products should not be used on deep wounds with cracks, wounds with cavity/pouch formation, undermined wounds, fistulas, and abscesses.
• The gauzes should not be placed on top of each other.
• A secondary suction cover is required.
