Sterile, individually packaged, disposable vaseline gauzes without active ingredients for wound dressing.

The vaseline gauze consists of a material that is impregnated with white vaseline (hydrophobic and non-sensitizing). Thanks to its fibrous mesh structure, the gauze allows exudates to flow freely while keeping the wound moist and simultaneously preventing it from sticking to the wound. This enables a atraumatic dressing change, meaning reduced pain for the patient.

Composition:

• Viscose
• Polyester
• Vaseline (Vaselinum album according to Ph. Eur.)

Contraindications:

• There is a risk of adhesions in wounds without exudate formation.
• The products should not be used on deep wounds with cracks, wounds with cavity/pocket formation, undermined wounds, fistulas, and abscesses.
• The gauzes should not be placed one on top of the other.
• A secondary suction cover is required.
