FIRST STAGE: Mares combined the SXS second stage with the reliable 62X first stage, creating one of the most durable and lightweight regulators on the market. The compact 62X features all the innovative characteristics of Mares’ first stages, such as:

• DFC LP port for high air flow at any depth.
• Pre-set LP and HP ports.
• A.S.T. for a waterproof first stage.
• Lighter and more compact diaphragm.

SECOND STAGE: The Mares SXS second stage features a larger diameter curved bypass, providing high airflow. This unique design, combined with Mares’ patented VAD (Vortex Assisted Design) technology, offers the diver a natural and comfortable breath at any depth.
