The Axagon ADR-220 extension cable connects a computer to remote USB devices and actively boosts the signal, allowing for a longer connection distance. It has a USB-A male input connector and a USB-A female output connector, and supports data transfer speeds of up to 480 Mbit/s. It is compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices.

Power is supplied via the USB bus. For devices with higher power requirements, the built-in 5 V auxiliary power socket can be used. The package includes a 1.2 m USB-A-to-3.5 mm plug power cable. The active section has two indicator lights for power and USB connection, and supports Plug and Play and Hot Plug.
