Uncle Yiannis, the colorful and often sung water carrier, roams the neighborhoods of old Athens accompanied by his little donkey, Menios, advertising his wares. His jars become irresistible, as there were no refrigerators or even a water supply network in 19th century Athens. But what will happen when "immortal" plastic comes to flood the market and everyone suddenly turns their back on him? Is there a place for him and Menios in a changing world?
A story that takes us on a journey to the Athens of the last century, introducing us to the centuries-old art of pottery, while simultaneously aiming to awaken our ecological consciousness, as the reckless use of plastics now endangers our very existence on the planet.
