The book "Facing Written Discourse" aims to bring the student closer to their language and to provide educators with a "coded" teaching proposal. It reflects classroom teaching and tries to show that students can satisfactorily master their language within the educational process, using the tools provided by the teacher and leveraging their inherent relationship with the language - in simple terms, decoding "what they see in the text."
The first part describes "coded" processes of understanding meaning, organization, and form of texts, as well as the processes of producing written discourse. The first part is divided into four units, corresponding to the structure/organization of topics for the national exams of the new system.
The second part contains exercises based on the topics of the last twenty-five years of the national exams from all types of schools. The student is required to have theoretical knowledge; however, "the text speaks to them," so they must focus their attention entirely on the provided text, "to see" the elements it offers and to justify them by utilizing the theory related to them.
