Nocturne is a strategic auction and set collection game where players embody cunning secret wizards in an enchanting, moonlit forest illustrated by Beth Sobel!
In Nocturne, you play as a fox-secret wizard casting magical spells to collect a variety of enchanted items. You compete against other wizards, each deciding when to cast the most powerful spells to cunningly navigate through the forest and secure the best collection.

These items have value when collected in specific sets, but they can also be combined to complete recipes that will earn you even more fame!
In each round, you start with a series of numbered symbols representing the powers of your spells. These symbols are used to cast spells and bid on a board of items on the forest floor. When you cast a spell, your opponents have the opportunity to cast a more powerful spell on an adjacent item. As the forest is explored, various conditions of magical control will restrict paths, leading to strategic situations.
The layout of the forest grid, the goals in twilight and moonlight, along with the recipe cards and players' special abilities in each game, offer great variety, ensuring that no game of Nocturne is played the same. The different village goals and conditions will require different strategies and tactics to outwit your opponents in this highly interactive and unique auction game!
