Lactase is an essential digestive enzyme produced in the small intestine that breaks down lactose, the main carbohydrate in milk. When lactase production is reduced or absent, undigested lactose passes into the large intestine, where it ferments, producing gas and causing diarrhea. Lactose intolerance is not life-threatening, but it can affect quality of life, while avoiding dairy products may lead to dietary restrictions.

Lamberts® Lactase Enzyme 9000 FCC is a high-strength lactase supplement that provides 9000 FCC units (Food Chemicals Codex units) of lactase per tablet. Enzyme activity is measured in FCC units because the Food Chemicals Codex is the internationally recognized standard for determining the activity of plant enzymes. The product can be used long-term, helping to improve lactose digestion in people who have difficulty digesting it.*

Lactase enzyme: 9000 FCC

Ingredients: Bulking agent (dicalcium phosphate and cellulose), lactase, anti-caking agents (silicon dioxide, stearic acid and magnesium stearate), disintegrant (croscarmellose sodium).

Directions for use: For people with lactose intolerance, take 1 tablet before each meal containing dairy products (lactose), up to a maximum of 3 tablets daily, or as recommended by your doctor or pharmacist. Do not exceed 3 tablets daily or the recommended daily intake.

Precautions: None known at the recommended dosage.

Allergies: This product does not contain gluten, wheat allergens, barley, soy, eggs, milk or milk derivatives, lactose, nuts, fish, shellfish or sulphites.
