MinoSharp Knife Sharpeners - Ceramic sharpener for knives | Global 550/GB
A three-stage ceramic sharpener suitable for all types of knives except those with single-bevel edges, such as traditional Japanese knives. Using water speeds up the sharpening process, while the factory-set slots make it easy to sharpen the knife at the correct angle. The curved angle of the slot where the knife is inserted allows for restoring the knife's original sharpness. The ergonomic and non-slip base and handle enhance stability during use.
- Technical specifications:
- Blue wheel - coarse grit
- Brown wheel - medium grit
- Yellow wheel - fine grit
- Length - 23 cm
- Handle length - 11 cm
- Height - 6.5 cm

Instructions for use:
- Pour water into the chamber with the wheels and do not drain it until sharpening is complete. The water moistens the ceramic wheels and prevents the blade from overheating.
- Hold the handle firmly to prevent the sharpener from moving.
- With your other hand, hold the knife, pressing the back of the blade with your index finger. Insert the knife vertically into the slot with the blue wheel (coarse grit). Move the blade back and forth, applying gentle pressure: 7-8 times or as needed.
- Insert the knife vertically into the slot with the brown wheel (medium grit). Move the blade back and forth, applying gentle pressure: 7-8 times or as needed.
- Insert the knife vertically into the slot with the yellow wheel (fine grit). Move the blade back and forth, applying gentle pressure: 7-8 times.
- After finishing, wash the knife by hand in warm water and dry it with a towel or cloth. Remove the cover and rinse the sharpener in clean water.
The number of strokes depends on the type and condition of the knife. For Global knives, 7-8 strokes per wheel are recommended. For knives from other brands, 15 strokes per wheel can be used, and if the knife is not sufficiently sharp, repeat the process with 15 strokes.
MinoSharp sharpeners have been tested and approved by the CATRA research institute, a leading authority in sharpening techniques based in Sheffield, United Kingdom.
