    It seems to successfully detect alkaline pH. I have been using it for a year now and I monitor my cats, who are prone to struvite. I am taking off one star because it leaves quite a bit of dust at the bottom and smells somewhat unpleasant relatively quickly. Finally, it does kick up a little dust, but nothing like the classic litters.

    Very very bad sand. We bought 4 to have a stock and in 2 weeks we changed them because they smelled even though we clean them 2-3 times a day. For the same money, there is a competitive one on Skroutz with tea scent that doesn't bother my cats. I won't buy it again.
