Perfect! It presses very accurately and precisely

For its price, I consider it worthwhile.
As a construction, it seems quite sturdy and it does its job perfectly.
Of course, if you don't know how to arrange the wires in order before pressing to create the terminal... we're talking about a tragedy.
It took me a while to put them in the correct order but I managed...!!!

I wanted the added function of cutting the pass through clips extra wires.

I have tried many similar tools of the same purpose of different qualities, almost all of them did not press the golden spikes down evenly after tightening, resulting in if even one was not pressed correctly nothing would work. This one is a truly professional tool that does the job it should do as it should. Must have.

Quite good build quality, proper fit on the terminals, generally satisfactory level for its price.

The only slight negative is that in its closed position, it doesn't lock well. So yes, it has a closed position (you push almost until the handles close, one step before if you stop, it will stay closed.) but inside a bag with other tools it might get pressed and open. I would like it to have some way to lock well for transport, however, it is not immediately negative for its use.

It presses quite well, it doesn't have a knife to cut the edges in case they stick out from the bag

Very good iron. No comparison with the cheap ones that break and do not press properly after a short time.

I had in my possession a press from another company that cost 20€, but it started malfunctioning shortly (around 50 presses) and it didn't cut well at all in the end. This specific press is very high-quality, unlike anything else I have tried and worked with. Its blades can be changed and it remains just as efficient as the first time I used it. It is not a small press and it is also heavy. However, its price is a bit steep since I found it for 70€ retail. I think I would even pay up to 80-85€ for it, especially if someone is a professional. It is worth it!

For Knipex, I would give it 4 stars as I expected better quality due to the brand. But it remains a good press in comparison to what you pay, because it also has its other press at 80 euros. There, I would complain about its quality. It does its job just fine. It has a good and soft handle.

(18/1/2021) I received it, the quality is incredible. The handle is made of soft plastic. The accuracy of operation and the level of detail are what characterize KNIPEX products.

Question: Should I get it?

Answer: YES, if you want to have peace of mind that you won't end up with something cheaper in your hands.

(Note) It has a closed position for storage, you simply press it until a point just before the end and it stays closed.

Excellent cable cutting and good crimping. Its construction is commendable, but it does not have a "closed" storage position and the crimping tool remains open.

For knipex a little disappointed but I will see along the way if it does its job well I will give it both stars...

Very good but I would have expected it to be a little more sturdy. It's like a very good Chinese tool with German colors and name... + I would like it to be available in yellow and red... to match my other knipex tools
