FINE SALT FROM THE KALAHARI DESERT OF SOUTH AFRICA
This rare salt comes from an underground lake in the Kalahari Desert of South Africa, dating back about 280 million years. Beneath the barren savanna of the desert, underground streams converge in a rock formation with salt crystals.
The salt is naturally organic, white crystalline gourmet salt, rich in minerals, unprocessed, and free from additives or chemicals. It contains essential, natural minerals and trace elements in the right balance, helping our body absorb and use them for optimal functioning.
It is nearly transparent white with fine crystals and has a subtle flavor, making it ideal for use in meat dishes, seafood, chocolate preparations, cured meats, and pickles, salting without "cooking" the food.
The Kalahari desert salt is raw and contains many trace elements, while it is free from microplastics and has a milder taste without a bitter aftertaste.
- Always start with salt – it’s better to add more later.
- Temperature affects the saltiness of the dish.
- Be careful with sauces and stews that evaporate during cooking.
Food should always be salted and not salty. A good quality salt can make a dish special.
We can dissolve a pinch of salt in water and add it to fruits or foods that we do not cook, for better digestion and restoring the alkaline pH.
The body needs salt for the proper digestion of carbohydrates.
