I connected a TV to a sound amplifier with expected sound quality. It is not sold as a high end DAC, it simply transfers sound from a digital output to an amplifier without a corresponding digital input.
I have two comments.
1. In order to have sound volume comparable to the other inputs of the amplifier, with this particular device you need to have the volume at full with its potentiometer, which is also the on/off switch, so to turn the device on or off you have to make a full rotation of the potentiometer, or leave it always on.
2. The device's power indicator light is a very bright red, which makes it annoying at night if you have it facing close to the TV. One solution is to paint the light with a thick black marker.

Για να έχουμε ένταση ήχου συγκρίσιμη με τις υπόλοιπες εισόδους του ενισχυτή, στη συγκεκριμένη συσκευή πρέπει να έχεις την ένταση στο φουλ με το ποτενσιόμετρο της, το οποίο είναι και ο διακόπτης on off, οπότε για ανοίξεις ή κλείσεις τη συσκευή πρέπει να κάνεις μια ολόκληρη περιστροφή του ποτενσιόμετρου, ή να την αφήνεις μονίμως αναμμένη.
2. Το λαμπάκι λειτουργίας της συσκευής είναι πολύ έντονο κόκκινο, με αποτέλεσμα να είναι ενοχλητικό τη νύχτα αν το έχεις φάτσα κοντά στην τηλεόραση. Μια λύση είναι να βάψεις το λαμπάκι με ένα χοντρό μαύρο μαρκαδόρο.
