IT DOESN’T HAVE AN IONIZER! I bought this machine quite deliberately, wanting something that would remove only airborne dust from the room. I was very close to buying a Whirlpool one, but fortunately I looked for replacement filters and discovered that they are extremely hard to find and expensive (~€60).

So I ended up with this one, and as is my usual habit, I opened it up to see what it looked like inside: the component responsible for ionizing the air (transformer and electrode) was missing.

Although you don’t expect much from a machine at this price, the rip-off is noticeable for the Greek consumer, and it stings even more if you look up videos of the machine being opened in “third-world” countries such as India and the Philippines, where it comes fully equipped with an ionizer, as well as a UV lamp for disinfection, at prices equivalent to €25–35 in Greek money.

Otherwise, the pollution sensor seems to work, since when I exposed it to atmospheric pollutants I had on hand (mainly volatile hydrocarbons), the display reading changed and the fan speed increased accordingly. Unfortunately, I couldn’t determine whether it is accurate or whether it cleans effectively, since I don’t have such specialized equipment.

let's say that it somehow does the job.. a really strange thing that happens is that for some reason it syncs with the TV remote and the volume button! increasing the volume on the TV changes the settings! also the front cover does not fit properly. mediocre to poor quality.
