This book is aimed at active and potential early childhood educators and preschool teachers, as well as other professionals who may work in care and education centers with the goal of promoting active participation, learning, and, consequently, the inclusion of every child.

The pedagogical intervention should be structured in such a way as to ensure that the educational processes meet the needs of each child (including children with disabilities).

Following the logic of multi-tiered systems of support and with the condition of genuine collaboration between all involved professionals and parents, the scientifically-based practices that guide the intervention and support in a layered manner are: the development of high-quality programs, modifications of the curriculum, embedded learning opportunities, and teaching practices.

In this process, assessment data regarding classroom quality, children's progress, and the effectiveness of pedagogical practices serve as sources of information for teaching that is oriented towards a range of cognitive, social, and other essential skills for children attending care and education centers.
