I followed the instructions for the first uses and there was no smell at all. I don't know if I just got lucky. The rice doesn't stick to the bottom without stirring, as some people mention. Of course, I should mention that I have only tried it with brown rice so far.

very practical and easy to use. it cooks rice in half an hour and has only 2 settings (1.30 hour and 30 minutes) the only major downside is that you can't set the time you want, it has preset options and you choose. however, it makes the rice very nice! it's for 2-3 servings. Weird interface, I can't connect to the app even though it's a smart device and the times it shows are all over the place. For example, I set a 1:00 timer and in fifteen minutes it's ready. If I let it continue, it will burn it.

The cooking times for the rice are indicative, depending on the quantity or the type of rice; it says 30 minutes, but it may take 40, or it says one hour, and it's ready in 50 minutes. It also cooks stews, on the stew program, one hour, you put everything in and don't have to do anything else. Good quality materials. The only drawback is that it drips water when you open the lid. It is easy to clean and easy to store due to its small size. Ideal for two people.
