I have had the shoes for over 3 months, using them daily both at work (estate) and on mountain walks. Except for the fact that they "show" dirt immediately and are hard to clean, the shoes are 10/10, without any exaggeration! They definitely don't have as soft a sole as the new model (they don't tire you even after hours of standing), but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Since I have also bought the next model, which has a very soft sole, I personally believe that the Challenger 7 is much better in terms of stability and durability! Also, they are ideal shoes if someone has a high instep. I will definitely buy them again, but this time in black...

It is not exactly as in the photo. They are bulky like all hoka. Compared to north face, they are inferior. They seem like they won't last long over time. Cheap construction. Up to €100 they are fine. Overpriced. The only positive is that they are lightweight.

For the price, I would prefer the Salomon I had before. The ankle is very tight compared to the rest, which is okay. Stiffer sole than the Salomon.

One of the best models from Hoka, with a thick but not too soft sole, with Gore-Tex = waterproofing. They grip in the snow, not of course like spikes. Warm in the summer

Although it is a very comfortable shoe, it is not at all durable. Within the first 3-4 months, it started to develop cracks on the sides, and in less than a year, it completely tore apart. Unfortunately, it is not justified for an expensive shoe, no comparison to the previous model...

a simple shoe, nothing special.. its construction unfortunately, like a large percentage of new shoes, is mediocre, not bad but not the quality you expect for a shoe at this price, which is also the part I didn't like, at this price you expect something much better but unfortunately it's like a simple shoe that Nike released 15 years ago for 60-70€.. I wouldn't buy them again because of their price, otherwise, as I mentioned before, just a simple shoe, nothing special..

This review is about the colour: Black

It is very tight in the instep, causing discomfort in the metatarsal area, although it has ample space in front of the toes.
I consider my foot to be normal with a length of 26.6 cm and I bought size 42 2/3 = 27cm.
    It slips on wet surfaces.
It is generally a hard shoe, but lightweight.
    It creates uncertainty in walking.
I expected the insole to be of higher quality considering the price of the shoe. I will change it to see if there is improvement.
    --------
UPDATE: in less than 3 months of use (indoors, office), the inner vertical surface in the heel of both shoes has developed holes in the fabric due to unjustifiable and unexplained wear.
I am using the SKROUTZ return option.
I will update on whether it is valid.
    UPDATE 2:
The shoes were returned through the return process provided by SKROUTZ and the money was credited to my account.
    Reliability!

Description & Specifications

The Hoka Challenger ATR 7 is an all-round trail shoe for the neutral runner. It is the seventh edition of Hoka's All Terrain series. These versatile shoes are designed for running on different surfaces, from asphalt to trails, and offer protection from various weather conditions.

This shoe has become lighter while the thickness of the sole has increased. Additionally, the upper part is made with more recycled materials, yet maintains breathability. The lug profile has a new design to provide traction on unpaved trails, but also comfort when walking on asphalt.

The Engineered Mesh upper has a lightweight feel, is made from at least 30% recycled materials, and includes special reinforcements for trail running. The updated heel cover offers great ankle support and ensures easy entry. The CMEVA midsole has become 2 mm thicker and therefore has more cushioning than its predecessor. This makes walking long distances more comfortable. The Challenger ATR 7 is therefore suitable for long-distance trail running, such as half marathons and full marathons.

The updated outsole pattern has 4 mm lugs that provide good traction when walking on dirt, whether you choose a soft or somewhat harder surface. Durability has also been improved, as more rubber has been added for endless miles. The Hoka Challenger ATR 7 can really handle any surface, so you can train and compete anywhere.

Features:

  • Lace-up closure
  • Recycled laces and upper
  • Weight: 252 g
  • Drop (Heel-to-toe differential): 5 mm
