Because it is an open-type battery, periodic checking and/or maintenance is required. Every two months, the fluid level should be checked. The level should never fall below the minimum indication in any of the battery's cells. Only deionized water should be used for topping up, not electrolyte. During long periods of inactivity, periodic charging will help optimize its lifespan.
The battery is not activated by the manufacturer. The packaging includes electrolyte in a container for initial filling. The activation process is carried out upon receipt.
