Description

The art of craftsmanship with Damascus steel has roots dating back thousands of years. The process involves:
  • Decorating objects made of steel or iron with patterns.
  • Applying a thin layer of gold leaf over the design using a deep relief technique.
  • Heating the object to approximately 800°C to reveal the pattern.
This technique was perfected in the Spanish city of Toledo, and Pelikan adopted the Toledo model in 1931, which retains the original design. The decorative casing is made of sterling silver and covered with gold. Each Toledo pen is unique, as its tiny features are handcrafted, with a maximum production of 200 pieces per month. The unit features:
  • Cap and ends made of high-quality black resin.
  • Operates with a piston mechanism.
  • Clipping in the shape of a pelican.
  • A window to check ink level.
  • The company's logo at the top.
The nib is gold-plated and engraved, 18 carats, with a writing thickness of F/M/B. Dimensions:
  • Length with cap closed: 12.6 centimeters
  • Body width: 1.2 centimeters
  • Weight: 23 grams
Includes a unique case and guarantees Pelikan quality.
