The new edition from Astbooks titled “Comprehensive Insurance Guide for Employees & Professionals (Law 4387/2016)” aims to provide a detailed and practical approach to the provisions of Law 4387/2016, examining the main categories of insured individuals: employees, self-employed professionals, farmers, freelancers, and retirees, while also analyzing the new form of supplementary insurance through TEKA.
A deep understanding of the insurance regulations imposed by Law 4387/2016 is a necessary prerequisite for the correct application of the law and for avoiding mistakes that can have significant consequences for the insured and businesses. This book offers not only theoretical knowledge but also practical tools to address the complex problems that arise in practice.
The provisions of the law, although aiming for rationalization, have often created complicated situations that require specialized knowledge and understanding of the processes. The book is divided into six (6) chapters, covering all the main categories of insured individuals:
1. Insurance for Wage Employees – Work Coupons: The first chapter analyzes the insurance of employees (contributions, co-contributions, depiction in the APD). It also includes special contributions for hazardous occupations as well as practical tables with workplaces and specialties that fall under hazardous work.
2. Insurance for Self-employed Professionals and Freelancers: The second chapter focuses on the insurance of self-employed professionals, freelancers, insured individuals with specific assignments or titles, and partners and/or managers of OEs, EEs, EPEs, IKEs, and members of the boards of directors of SAs.
3. Insurance for Farmers and Agricultural Workers: The third chapter analyzes the insurance provisions for farmers and agricultural workers (work coupons under OGA) and members of Agricultural Cooperatives.
4. Parallel Insurance: The fourth chapter presents the provisions for parallel insurance in different activities, covering combinations of employment and self-employment.
5. Employment of Retirees: The fifth chapter analyzes the insurance of retirees who work as employees, engineers, lawyers, etc.
6. Supplementary Capitalization Insurance Fund (TEKA): The sixth chapter focuses on the new form of supplementary insurance introduced by Law 4826/2021, including guidelines for depicting insurance in the APD.
The edition also includes practical guides that contain instructions for: electronic submission of APD, employer-employee registration, applications for self-employed individuals, applications for contribution certificates, and comprehensive user manuals for electronic insurance platforms.
With this approach, the book aims to serve as a detailed and useful tool for accountants, insurers, lawyers, and any professional involved with the insurance system, offering practical solutions and specialized knowledge for the application of the provisions of Law 4387/2016.
