Lawyer Gavin Banek is an ambitious attorney rushing in his silver Mercedes to make it to court to file some legal documents. Doyle Gipson is an alcoholic insurance adjuster who is also racing to reach the court. He needs to attend the custody hearing for his children. The two heroes will collide on the road to the courts.

The lawyer hurriedly leaves the accident scene, but he leaves behind a red folder. Doyle will not make it to court on time, losing the custody of his children. Gavin arrives at court but without the red folder he needs to win the high-profile case. The judge gives him a 24-hour deadline to find it and deliver it. Only he hasn’t kept any details about Doyle. From this point, the lives of the two heroes will intertwine in a strange way, trying to achieve their goals by pushing their limits.

The film revolves around the two protagonists and essentially presents their dilemmas and problems. Particularly clever is the device around which the story revolves: how a very simple event like an accident can change the lives of the two protagonists in ways that are beyond their control.
