    Good motherboard but with a basic note: It has 4 m.2 slots, 2 of which come from the CPU and 2 from the chipset. Therefore, if you want drives in at least 3 of the 4 m.2 slots, your graphics card will drop to pciex8 (regardless of whether the drives are gen4 or gen5). If you want the GPU at x16, you can have a maximum of 2 nvme drives on the motherboard. This is quite silly, since other x870e boards have at least 3 m.2 slots on the chipset and only 1 on the CPU.

    Edit after ~4 months: Unacceptable temperatures on the southbridge, close to 70c with a fan blowing on it. After removing the heatsink, the contact with the chipset was almost nonexistent. Changed thermal pads, classic unacceptable Gigabyte with terrible quality control once again.

    If you find it around €400, then it is a good foundation for your system. It asks for a lot but not more than the high-end motherboards of the past. Good support for memory and generally a well-thought-out BIOS this time with many issues from the initial versions of the X670 fixed. It has easily removable covers for the M.2 with one downside. The heatsinks can easily 'touch' the adjacent heatsink and require careful movements to fit correctly. Nevertheless, it provides 3x Gen 5, 1x Gen 4 for M.2, one PCie Gen 5 x16, and two more x4 for extra cards. Very sturdy and good BIOS ready for Ryzen 9000X3D from the first boot.     If you find it around €400, then it is a good foundation for your system. It asks for a lot but not more than the high-end motherboards of the past. Good support for memory and generally a well-thought-out BIOS this time with many issues from the initial versions of the X670 fixed. It has easily removable covers for the M.2 with one downside. The heatsinks can easily 'touch' the adjacent heatsink and require careful movements to fit correctly. Nevertheless, it provides 3x Gen 5, 1x Gen 4 for M.2, one PCie Gen 5 x16, and two more x4 for extra cards. Very sturdy and good BIOS ready for Ryzen 9000X3D from the first boot.     Good motherboard but with a basic note: It has 4 m.2 slots, 2 of which come from the CPU and 2 from the chipset. Therefore, if you want drives in at least 3 of the 4 m.2 slots, your graphics card will drop to pciex8 (regardless of whether the drives are gen4 or gen5). If you want the GPU at x16, you can have a maximum of 2 nvme drives on the motherboard. This is quite silly, since other x870e boards have at least 3 m.2 slots on the chipset and only 1 on the CPU.

    Edit after ~4 months: Unacceptable temperatures on the southbridge, close to 70c with a fan blowing on it. After removing the heatsink, the contact with the chipset was almost nonexistent. Changed thermal pads, classic unacceptable Gigabyte with terrible quality control once again.
