What's new compared to the AOC Q27G2E

  • Panel Technology: The most important qualitative difference. The Q27G4XF uses a Fast IPS panel for vibrant colors and fast response, while the Q27G2E is based on a VA panel, which offers better contrast but is slower during fast movements (ghosting).

  • Refresh Rate: Upgrade from 155Hz to 180Hz, offering even smoother image flow at QHD (2K) resolution.

  • Response Time: The Q27G4XF achieves truly low response time thanks to Fast IPS, eliminating the "smearing" often seen in VA panels like that of the Q27G2E.

  • Brightness & HDR: The new model features VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification with brightness reaching 400 nits, offering much more impressive highlights compared to the 250 nits of the Q27G2E.

  • Ergonomics: The Q27G4XF comes with a fully adjustable stand (height, tilt, swivel, pivot), while the "E" model (Q27G2E) usually has a fixed stand that only allows tilt.

QHD Resolution

With a resolution of 2560 x 1440, Quad HD (QHD) offers superior image quality and sharp images that reveal the finest details. The wide 16:9 aspect ratio provides plenty of space to spread out and work, while also allowing you to enjoy games or movies in their original size.

1ms GTG (Grey-to-Grey) Response Time

GtG means Grey-To-Grey and represents the time it takes for a pixel to change from one gray level to the next. In gaming, every millisecond counts and can be the distinguishing factor between hitting or missing a shot. The fast response time also eliminates ghosting and motion blur.

Refresh Rate 180Hz

Competitive and intense games require the best technology to ensure lag-free and smoother gameplay. This AGON by AOC monitor features a 180 Hz refresh rate, making it 3 times faster than a standard monitor. A lower frame rate can make enemies appear to jump from point to point on the screen, making them very difficult targets to hit. The 180Hz frame rate brings back those critical missing images on the screen, revealing enemy movements in ultra-smooth motion, allowing you to aim more easily. With this AGON by AOC gaming monitor, you won't have to tolerate input lag and screen tearing.

Experience Gaming at Its Best with HDR10

HDR10 is here to further enhance image quality by improving the synchronization of your GPU or console with the monitor. This creates a more realistic, immersive, and smooth gaming experience: You will feel like you are entering the game, frame by frame.

Very good screen for games in 2K without breaking the bank, the difference with the XF is that it has better response while the X model (50 euros more) has a wider color range.
4 stars for the terrible HDR and in some applications the letters display some strange colors.
Recommended settings: Overdrive on Fast and sRGB open (100 brightness)

I got this monitor for personal use and for gaming. The first time I got it, it had dead pixels and I requested to return it and have another one brought to me. The other one they brought me again had dead/stuck pixels in a different spot. I thought it was only 1 but after a while I noticed more around it. I requested a return, and they canceled it with the

  • My monitor came as a replacement for another AOC monitor that had dead pixels. From what I saw, it was also about 50 euros more expensive. Connected via DP at 180hz, it is fantastic!! Of course, simple and understated. One HDMI, one DP. Personally, it fully meets my needs. The issue of durability over time worries me because the previous one lasted 7 months. I want to believe it will last longer. I keep the deep color and the smooth flow of the image. I highly recommend it!

it promises 180hz but it's only 144, the quality is very mediocre, full of plastic, and if you move the desk a little, the whole thing shakes

Very good monitor, I have been using a small 1080p 60hz TV for a long time and I saw a huge difference, very good resolution, perfect colors, sturdy stand with height and tilt adjustment, comes with both DP and HDMI cables, I highly recommend it, very good for its price

Don't pay attention to comments about viewing angles. The monitor is flawless. Just don't expect to use HDR, it's a gimmick. In SDR, it can't be touched by anyone.

However, it has the same panel as the non-F model (yes, they have the same colors, the spec pages mention standards from different years and have confused a lot of people, pay attention to such details), just fewer inputs and lower backlighting. Personally, I find the backlight excessively bright, I've already lowered it to 93%, so I would not recommend anything brighter in IPS.

Good value for money monitor. I got it for the PS5 that runs at 120Hz, but it's also a good solution for gaming on a computer

Under no circumstances does it support reliable Windows HDR despite claiming it is available, while at the same time it has its own HDR through an app I found, even though it can be disabled from Windows. Windows HDR makes the image dark and with distorted colors, no matter what settings you apply (it gives you minimal options with HDR enabled). It does not support AMD's FreeSync, only Nvidia's G-Sync. You need a lot of time to adjust the image. The only positive is that it has a very sturdy stand of excellent quality, with the ability to raise and tilt. I will return with new comments soon.
