    The spring mechanism is the traditional powerplant of a spring-powered airgun, where a metal spring (coil spring) is compressed and, when released, expands and pushes a piston that compresses air towards the barrel and propels the pellet.

    Dual Energy

    It means that the trigger performs two separate actions with one pull: it cocks (pulls back) the hammer and releases the hammer to fire the gun.

    - Trigger feel: Usually heavier and with a longer travel compared to Single Action.

    - Accuracy: May be less accurate when shooting at a target because the long/heavy trigger pull can move the gun if you don’t have good technique.

    - Speed: Allows for rapid shots without manual cocking, useful in self-defense or situations where you want a quick first shot.

    - Safety: The heavy/long trigger pull reduces the risk of accidental discharge (less likely to fire by mistake due to a light touch).

The Umarex DX17 (5.8187) is an innovative product from the German airgun manufacturer. It features the ability to fire two types of ammunition: 4.5 mm diabolo and 4.46 mm bbs. The gun is made of metal and polymer material, with all moving parts, including the mechanism, being made of metal. The grip is made of polymer, with a special profile and anti-slip surface.

Various types of bullets can be used: lead, steel, and pellets. The firing chamber holds 15 bullets. In the case of using lead or pellets, the bullet is loaded each time before each shot. The movable mechanism requires pulling the lever before firing to operate the elastic valve that propels the bullet at a speed of 60 m/s.

Before firing, release the safety mechanism, which is located at the back of the gun. A 22 mm rail has been placed on the barrel, while at its end it makes aiming easier in low-light conditions with the help of optical fiber flash.
