A bird may fly over a sea of green that extends beyond every horizon and not find its borders. A squirrel may run from the Great Iron Tooth to the Mountain of Ice, jumping from branch to branch, without touching the ground below. Clearings host maps where trees as large as castles are toppled, quickly covered by new eager seeds, yearning for light. The world of dawn beneath the branches can rival any cave for darkness or any tomb for silence.

Cartographers distinguish between the Darkwoods and the Eastern Darkwoods, but these are merely lines in mortal designs, fragile and temporary. Darkwoods existed when the world was formed and will exist when Trudvang ends. Darkwoods lives and breathes, and while roads and paths may intersect among the trunks, take ten steps away from the path in any direction, and you will see a place that has never known the tread of mortals, not since the first of us blinked at the rise of the new sun.

Darkwoods is not unknown, but it keeps its secrets close. Even the experienced Elven Knights with centuries behind them will speak of forgotten wonders and unknown horrors lurking in the quiet. Trudvang Legends: Darkwoods is an expansion that includes an entirely new campaign that brings players into a branching story within the vast and terrifying Darkwoods Forest, an imposing yet infamous forest where shadow reigns. Rumors say a demon has found refuge in its depths, warping and manipulating creatures, terrorizing all who approach. It is your responsibility to investigate the source of these rumors and attempt to survive this mission!
